This program provides members of the board with information concerning legal matters that are particular to an Amateur Sport Association. It helps members find amicable or judicial solutions to legal disputes, thereby avoiding legal problems. This legal expense insurance program also provides financial assistance to pay for legal fees and expenses in the event of a covered dispute.

A legal expense insurance program that combines telephone ASSISTANCE Service and INSURANCE Protection.

LEGAL ASSISTANCE SERVICE

FBA's Legal Assistance service will give your customer access to a telephone legal information line. Our lawyers will answer questions on all legal matters concerning the amateur sport activities. The information is provided by:

• lawyers with at least five years of experience;

• through a Toll-free number;

• all information provided is substantiated and,

• the number and length of call is unlimited.

LEGAL INSURANCE PROTECTION


In the event of a dispute against the association which is not covered by the Director and Office Insurance policy or Comprehensive Liability coverage, the Insured selects a lawyer of his choice and the legal insurance protection will cover the lawyer's fees, external expert's expenses and legal cost up to the determined limit of the policy.

  LEGAL INSURANCE
A parent is suing the association because his son was not selected for the team.
The coach is suing the association for wrongful dismissal and is asking for reintegration.
A parent is suing the association because he believes the money should be used for other purposes.
A player wants to be transferred to another division and feels that an exception to the rules should be made.
